Okay, when first we meet Corwin he's lying in a bed and appears to have two broken legs. We learn a lot about him pretty quickly. I'm trying to create a fact file for him as I read. I know Rommie didn't want to start the official reading quite yet. I'm just going to slip in a little casual bit here. For structure's sake.

My favorite thing in all of Book 1, chapter 1 is this: "I shoved him into the closet and looked out the latticed window. I saw the Old Moon with the New Moon in her arms, hovering above a row of poplars."

It's almost a throw away line shoved into a fantasy novel when the reader isn't quite oriented. But it means...

Although I've never really been part of a book discusion before I thought it might be interesting to have a thread to discuss impressions and rememberances of the series, in general terms, to contrast to those presented during and after we've re-read the books.
