This is the place to ask questions about how things before the timeskip were resolved.

Note: I am explicitly waiting for requests/statements/questions/PMs/whatever before actually posting responses here. Partly because these things are only as important as the players want them to be, partly because I don't want to jump to conclusions before player input.

Known pending things, quick partial list:

At present, I'm thinking a minor timeskip is in order - six months to a year as reckoned in Amber - during which players will have time...

So I thought, hmm, there are lots of NPCs. I should make myself a quick reference chart so I have a central place to look up the name of that one guy with the thing who does the stuff.
And then I thought, hmm, others might find such a chart useful too.
And so this thread is where I'll start building it.

Originally I wanted to award points a few at a time but fairly often. Then my posting rate plummeted.

Time to clear the award backlog: active* players, you each get 10 more points. You can PM what you want to do with them to me, or save 'em up, or if you're daring announce your intentions right in this thread. Some of you have gone far enough that you already know what you'd like to save up for, and some others are close.

Hmm. The starting players did it all organically, spread over a whole bunch of threads on different things. Much of that was auction banter, though.

So here's a thread of your very own to work out what you want to do. Feel free to dump your train of thought here - your many siblings will likely have lots of comments

Ack. It's not just my slow slow posting rate this summer; Farwaiyn/Beren and Benjamin/Lewis haven't logged in for a few months (according to clicking all four names to check their activity). Any news about their status?

I'll NPC them in the meantime.

You each get to write your own spiel, of course. Make only one post in this thread. (Use the Siblings thread for related chatter). Well, at least until every character has a Description post here. The idea is to have them all on page 1 for easy reference.

I'll use this post for some general stat stuff.
The big players, as is known among the family and the general population, not in any special order, and not exclusive of other characters 5 points of Bad Stuff.

Is anyone interested in a pre-gameplay kind of project? Some kind of backstory thing full of public info that'd help in overall character creation... I liked the synergy back in the Past Perfect brainstorming period. Maybe like "detail an important shadow and one well-known Amber citizen NPC" to get some starter stuff out there. The writer gets a few points if their content gets meshed into any other player's backstory (or if I end up using it myself)....

So Lewis and Maestro:

No need to bid more than me in Strength. We are all very close, and hey, you will want to save your points to bid higher than me in Warfare. Not to mention getting yourselves pattern swords. You need to plan to drop a good amount of points to bid higher than me for a sword.

Isn't that much more important than being 1st rank in Strength?

And besides ... Lewis ... you are tops in Endurance, so you have that going for you. I am content...

Strength auctions are complete. Players may secretly increase their scores, but for the intro of the game, things will be resolved using these "historical" numbers. (Ties resolved by the method "the player that bid n first beats the player who later matched to n".)
