"technology as magic" being a shorthand for Clarke's third law: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Points in Sorcery or Psyche won't really help, unless it's something more liek "technology AND magic", where tech is encroaching on magic's home turf or working as a hybrid. Energy fields and thought-controlled devices, for example.

One can also find shadows where tech and magic violently disagree and points in Sorcery pretty much let you trigger those conflicts at will. (If you've read any of the Dresden Files books, they're a pretty good example. Or Zelazny's own Changeling / Madwand books.)

Michael's current specific journey hasn't gone that way, though. The transitions were more of a mindshare / power potentials kind of deal. Places where magic is fairly strong, has lots of users, and is preferred over tech. Places where tech is fairly advanced and common, magic is weak and rare, and tech is preferred over magic.
