You'd have to travel pretty far out from the Logrus to find social groups above the tribal level... so it's easy to get local students or keep the locals out. Even plopping this right in the open with nothing but a masking spell wrapped around it would probably keep them out for a few generations."
Clive thinks. "Hmm. That'll make the physical end of founding a city tricky... on the other hand, I'll get to pick whatever cultural seeds I want to nurture and import only them." |

Clive sticks with what he knows well as a base, modified by pointers from Polly and compromises based on the terrain. (That close to a Logrus, straight edges still don't quite line up...). It ends up being a smaller, cozier version of his old high school. Lots of classrooms, lockers in the hallways, a cafeteria, auditorium, gym. A library, empty for now. The long wall opposite the front office would work well for the mural.
Some of the small touches are there only for completism; the computer lab without computers, the paved parking lot outside. |

Clive looks spacy for a second, then shrugs. "So he is and will. That's not exactly what I meant. Shadows just mean I'm alive; it's the bulk changes that give enough away for anyone and his dog to find the center."
He pauses. "I should rephrase that. People will show up anyway - or, if I wanted to, I could shut them out. Instead, I want them to show up, and at the times and places I choose. Some I will want to recruit, some I will reject, some will leave on their own... but most could be in either category depending on how well I set things up." |

Hmm. As for the rest of the short term agenda, Clive would like to get that trump node drawn. Then there's a neat little experiment with trying to trump Flora. Then start on citybuilding, and then get in touch with some of those who'd wanted to reach him earlier. In roughly that order. |
