It includes a box as well. The letter states, Dexter, Contained within the crystal in the box accompanying this letter is a shard of the broken jewel of judgement. Keep it with you at all times as it is your only protection against the magic that will soon assail you. If you should lose it or have it taken from you, recover it before you sleep again or you will be lost. Amber is doomed unless you act immediately to save her. You must come at once to the Abyss that stands at the Courts of Chaos and then jump into the Pit. I await you at the bottom. Your cousin Iris, Queen of Hel PS. I'd invite you in person but I am trapped in the abyss and can not get out. PPS. Beware the undead. I would be less cryptic but they may read this before it reaches you.
