I volunteer. Physical trashings seem more Nityana's thing, and she's not as patient as Cornelia, and she has a reputation in Amber to worry about.

I really should think about this

It probably works better when ranked close at the time of the fight. Riza might even actually BE better with a sword. Nityana prefers Very Heavy Warhammers and Easily Hidden Daggers, not dueling blades... Add the part where Nityana tends to be ordering troops around to do her fighting for her (at least, that's how it could be perceived), and we've got a situation where Riza could certainly like her chances in a straight fight.
Duel begins, first few clashes are fairly even, perhaps tilted slightly in Riza's favor. She even manages to bloody that white-and-purple outfit her dear sister is so fond of a little, scoring a scratch. An optimistic Riza closes again, deflects Nityana's sword - and finds her own sword arm enclosed in the vise Nityana calls a left hand.
At which point the confrontation became rather one-sided as Nityana proceeded to punch the optimism right out of her sister.

Some might have chosen to see this as a violation of the duelling ring's rules; but frankly, it always was a terrible idea. They're fantastically idealistic and romantic and maybe even work out in shadow with cultures that promote chivalry and honour and all that noble stuff. We do that in Amber too of course - mostly. And therein lies the problem. Michael's consciously avoided composing anything related to any of the duels fought there, even the one over the Marquess' daughter.
